The Zoom H4 very well done recording sessions and live music. The range of quality 1 and 3 levels of WAV and MP3. The features are excellent, but the controls are very compact and take good deal. The only downside that I realized the short battery life with 2 AA alkaline batteries choose take 2-3 hours and then died during the recording still plenty of juice in the batteries of other applications. What I now have a collection of about 50 AA batteries, which are still the construction toys and torches, but not high enough voltage to H4. This small problem - the complexity excellent unit.
